Hair Cuts Part 2 & 3

Seeing my hair short made others in my family long for shortened locks as well. Erika, because her bouncing behaving hair looks good no matter what; Lilly because of a haircut she gave herself back in November. I tried to make it look like a "real" haircut, not an "I played with scissors" haircut. I would rather pay someone to cut my kids hair. However, we had one too many BAD haircuts that I then had to pay for that I decided NO MORE. I can give them a bad haircut for free. Hee hee. I do alright, they wouldn't pass a close inspection-but they look pretty cute. Kayla is "thinking" about a hair cut. Kayla has really long hair now. It is beautiful and I don't want to cut it. So I did what any mom would do and told her that her father would not allow me to cut her hair. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Other than that, today has been a sucky sort of day with only the goodness of friendships getting me by. And church. And prayer. And God. Not in that order. No specifics for you-believe it or not, I do hold back. I know it's hard to imagine there could be more. Most of the really big stuff is limited to God and Mia. In that order. Steph S. if she calls often enough! ( ;

This too shall pass. Tomorrow is another day. You're never fully dressed without a smile. Put on a happy face. When life hands you lemons, make lemonade. Somebody stop me!

I had the same thought process in college....why go pay to have a haricut that I'm not going to like? I asked Philip to cut it because if I didn't like it, at least I hadn't paid for it. Turns out he did a great job (he spent hours making it just right!) and he's been doing it six years. (He doesn't spend hours on it anymore.) I've been cutting his eight years....I figure it adds up to plenty of savings to make "Family Haircut Night" worth it.

There is a lady (in Elizabethtown) that has cut hair for over 25 yrs. She works out of her home and only charges $5.00 per person.
I've heard she does a great job (I'm going myself this week.)
Her name is Cathy Harris and her phone number is (270)769-9798.
She won't be available until Thurday of this week due to vacation.
Just wanted to pass on a good deal !:)
