Rise and Shine!
I just asked my daughters to please straighten their rooms and get dressed.
"Are we going somewhere?"
"No, but I still want you to get dressed and straighten your room."
"I don't know why we have to get dressed if we aren't going anywhere. Why can't we just stay in our pajamas?"
Oh my friends, the apple does not fall far from the tree is the understatement of the year. I see a new years resolution brewing...getting dressed everyday maybe??

I can relate, not nessacarily to the getting dressed everyday that's not an option for my three (they have to get dressed in clean clothes everyday.)
They're more sneaky when it comes to brushing teeth, combing hair, changing panties and wearing clean socks everyday ! Especially my oldest who's 8 think she should just get to wear same clothes not brush her teeth or hair. Then she gets mad that I make her do that everyday !
On the weekends they get to stay in jammies if they want to.
